What year model engines are compatible with dodge caravan 1999?

I have a Dodge Caravan 1999, would an engine from the same model, year 97-2003, fit? Do all the mini vans from those years have the same engine, or are they at least compatible?|||what engine does it have in it now because not all of them are compatible depending on what transmission it has in it,the 3.0 is a one of kind engine,and needs to be replaced with another 3.0,97-01 will fit on the 3.0 engines,and that's the most common engine found in those vans,if you change engine sizes you also have to change the wiring harness,s and computers on them the 3.0 is Mitsubishi engine,good luck.|||Um the same models for your van would be 1996-2002 and Yeah just make sure it is the same engine type that you are swapping nothing bigger and nothing smaller.|||I would go within 2 years of each other 98-2000 plymouth mini van, chrysler and some Chrysler cars.
