How do i cancel a extended warranty from Auot West Dodge dealership located in fremont, CA when they closed?

I have tried reaching them but a cheverlot dealer has moved and and they say that dodge dealer has closed down. How do i cancel my exteneded warranty and get my money back?|||call dodge directly or get another dealer to do it for you,you may regret doing this later on though, any other dealer can handle this for you, good luck.|||There should be a contact address on your warranty contract.

Send a letter to them certified mail - requesting cancellation and refund of your money.

Just because the selling dealer closed does not mean the warranty will not be honered, any repair facility should be able to make repairs under the warranty.

Next problem is if the dealer forwarded the money to the warranty company.|||By calling the Company that owns your extended Warranty.

Look for it on the Paperwork they gave you.|||It don't make sense to do away with a warranty your finance coimpany has already paid for, because even if they give you back a portion of it your paying for again in your payments. If its from Chrysler you can go to any dealer and cancel it. And if you do cancel if you don't give the money to your finance company your paying it right back.|||contacting Dodge directly or another Dealer may not do any good if it is not a Dodge warranty. If it was a 3rd party, which is most likely was, Dodge or another dealer won't have any record of it.

If you have the contract material then you should contact the provider if you wish to cancel, however I agree with a previous poster that you shouldn't cancel it just because the dealer went out of business. Most "warranty" providers allow you to take the vehicle to any repair facility. I would call them to verify. If I has been some time (over 60 days) since the contract was purchased, your refund will be prorated based on time or mileage whichever has elapsed most.|||Dodge man is mostly right, you do have to send a certified mail to them but you also have to send a notarized letter from a notary public, there should be a free one at your bank. get that in the mail to them asap, and also request that the remunerate you for the interest that as added to your total. You should have no problem cancelling your extended warranty as long as you have not used it, good luck,|||Contact the administrator on listed on the contract. the dealership going out of business has no bearing on this, unless he didn't pay the warranty company. Second thing, is if you financed this in a car loan. You DO NOT get the money back. The lien holder of the vehicle gets the money back. They will take the refund amount if any off the principal.
