Does anyone know why my 2000 dodge durango is getting moisture in the head of the engine?

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango and lately the check engine light has been on. When i took it into the shop there was a whipped mixture (water and oil mixed together) in the oil cap. One person i know also has a jeep and they share the same kind of engine and had the same problem. Has anyone experienced this problem and have any advice for me? Thanks.|||First check your Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system and valve for proper operation.|||same problem? and same shop?

two plus two is four.

is (100 % NOT) NOT a common problem among Chrylers engines.

Please ,change the mechanic|||You don't have a blown head gasket. The moisture is in the cap.nowhere else in the engine right. This was a common problem with the 4.7 liter and 3.7 liter in dodge and jeep vehicles.I found this info to help.click on link

http://www.eastplaza.com/mem/dakota/prob鈥?/a>|||I swear to god I have no idea why some of theese people answer theese questions... if you have milky you blew a head gasket... I am sure your mechanic said it... If you keep on driving it (apperantly its pretty bad if your oil looks like choclate milk) you will screw up your heads more and possably take out your bottom end... No matter what anyone else says isnt going to turn your oil milky... got get it fixed...|||what engine?

could be one of the gasket is leaking water into the head|||Hi Erica,, I will step in here as judge,

done wrenching and charger above have answered your question correctly,

have your oil changed on a regular basis and dont concern yourself with this condition,

As for your check engine light ,, that is another issue|||In the winter months the white muck (condensation) is common. There is a platic insert that is there to reduce the buildup, but does not eliminate it totally. Just keep up on your oil changes and don't worry about the muck. My 2 dodges with the 4.7 have WAY over 100k miles and run great.|||sorry to say blown head gasget...get compression test or cooling syster leakdown test.....|||Blown head gasket, Cracked head, cracked engine block, or any combination of the three.|||stop buying dodges from 89 to 2001 the head warped and the oil and antifreeze is leaking into each other
