What is wrong with a Dodge Caravan when it tries to die out when at a stop light?

I have a 1989 Dodge Caravan the fuel pump has been changed as well as the filter. Not sure what else can be wrong, anyone know?|||It could be the plug,s or the wire,s they burn out on these motor,s because the heat is tremendous on these newer engine,s,,i would also check the distributor cap,,and rotary button also,,if it has any mileage at all on it,,and considering the year of it,,it probably just need,s a real good tune up,,as for the alternator,,everyone on here seem,s to think that the alternator,,causes everything,,well i have had my own business now for 35 yrs,,and never have i had a un happy customer,,so i guess that means something.|||sounds like the alternator. try holding your one foot on the brake and the other on the gas and see if it keeps running. if that works, i would get the alternator replaced.|||possiably the tcc solenoid in the trans|||give it a tune up
