I would like to take my automatic 1976 Dodge Dart Sport and move the shifter from the column to the floor. Is there a linkage I will need to do this? Do I need to buy a standard transmission floor pan to install it, or do I just need to cut a hole in the existing floor pan for the shifter install?|||Good question...im not familar with Dodge vehicles but i know someone who did something similar with a Toyota Noah.
What they did was got a gear box from a Toyota 4 x 4 and installed it so i guess theres some sort of linkage.
Yes a whole will need to be cut so it fits.
