Would a transmission from a 2000 dodge neon fit in a 96 eclipse?
I have a 1996 Eclipse and it needs a new front pump, would the transmission from my 2000 dodge neon fit it?|||Well If your eclipse is a RS or a GS it should as both The Eclipse n the Neon have the same 420A Engine n tranni......in my understanding, if ur Neon has a 420A engine...it should work|||if they both share the same engines they should work,good luck.|||According to some threads on neons.org you can use a 2gen neon tranny in an eclipse. Just make sure that yr2000 tranny is hydro clutch setup. The neon tranny's gear ratio( 3.55) is higher then the eclipse (3.94)
Chrysler used both cable and hydro transmissions in 2000.
Are you replacing your tranny because you blew a hole in the diff housing. Chrysler has a fix for that. You need two of this part number 05134957AA
