How do you replace a clock spring on a 2004 Dodge intrepid by yourself ?

I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid. I need to figure out how to replace the clock spring and WHERE TO BUY IT!!! My car's horn isn't working and the airbag light has been on for over two months. There is a slight crackling noise when I turn the wheel. I am pretty sure that its the clock spring, but I need directions on how to fix it and where to get the parts. Thank you!!!!! Any help is truly appreciated!|||you have to pull the steering wheel ,but first you have to disconnect the battery in it then remove the air bag and unplug it being really careful with it,then behind the steering wheel is the clock spring, you,ll need a good steering wheel puller and a lot of patience, and a good repair manual,i would never start any job like that without one,you can do it though i have seen a lot of people change their own and do a good job on it,the part can be bought at a dealer,i wouldn't go with a used one not on this part, its to much trouble to take back out, good luck.|||Yes- you "can" replace the clockspring. However, I do not recommend it if your not experienced with automobiles. you need to remove the steering wheel in order to replace the clockspring. This involves many things you need to be aware of. #1) your safety when working with a live airbag in the wheel. (This being deployed while you're working on it could actually be fatal)! This part will more than likely only be available through the OEM (Chrysler) for your to purchase.
