1999 Dodge Neon is heating up. I have replaced water pump and radiator, what else can be wrong ?

I have a 1999 Dodge Neon. It has been running hot for about 6 months now. For awhile, it was leaking really bad. I have replaced the water pump, themostat, radiator cap and the radiator. Since the repairs, it was running OK, but little by little I noticed the needle climbing as each day goes by. As long as the car is moving, the temperature reads OK, but when idle (even without A/C runnning) the temperature needle begins to climb towards the "H". I wonder what else could be causing the temperature to rise.|||The fan is not working properly. The car is cool when moving because the air is being forced through due to the speed your car is moving but when stopped the fan has to do the cooling by itself.|||Check you radiator fan. You have an electrical fan that helps cool the water in the radiator, make sure it ot they (some vehicle have 2 side by side) are coming on.|||It could be a cracked block or head gasket or the electric fan may not be turning on.|||Did you flush the block before the new rad swap?

What caused this in the first place?

Are any of the hoses collapsing%26lt;|||check the belt tension on the water pump belt..........check the cooling fan switch to see if it working properly|||my friend, check the fan.if it has a viscose fan clutch,it is bad.and just replace it....or if it is a sensor control ,the sensor is out,but i bet it's the viscose fan clutch..... this thing gets solid when the temp gets hot,and look at the spring in the middle of it,and sometime could be dirty, and not letting the heat till it to get solid..but if it's never been replaced, replace it.............good luck and the aren't that expensive....
