How do you replace a clock spring on a 2004 Dodge intrepid by yourself ?
I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid. I need to figure out how to replace the clock spring and WHERE TO BUY IT!!! My car's horn isn't working and the airbag light has been on for over two months. There is a slight crackling noise when I turn the wheel. I am pretty sure that its the clock spring, but I need directions on how to fix it and where to get the parts. Thank you!!!!! Any help is truly appreciated!|||you have to pull the steering wheel ,but first you have to disconnect the battery in it then remove the air bag and unplug it being really careful with it,then behind the steering wheel is the clock spring, you,ll need a good steering wheel puller and a lot of patience, and a good repair manual,i would never start any job like that without one,you can do it though i have seen a lot of people change their own and do a good job on it,the part can be bought at a dealer,i wouldn't go with a used one not on this part, its to much trouble to take back out, good luck.|||Yes- you "can" replace the clockspring. However, I do not recommend it if your not experienced with automobiles. you need to remove the steering wheel in order to replace the clockspring. This involves many things you need to be aware of. #1) your safety when working with a live airbag in the wheel. (This being deployed while you're working on it could actually be fatal)! This part will more than likely only be available through the OEM (Chrysler) for your to purchase.
How do you fix a lockup convertor on a 2004 Dodge Neon if it causes sputtering?
How do you fix a lockup convertor on a 2004 Dodge Neon if it causes sputtering between 40-45 mph ? Will this be costly or is there a cheap fix?
Thanks.|||A lockup converter isn't going to cause sputtering. It might cause stalling if it didn't unlock, but if that was the case, the car would be undriveable.

How to install a sony cd player in a dodge intrepid?
A '98 Dodge intrepid, a Sony Car CD Player. I have all the wires that is need for installing it but the wires don't match like there color coded but the colors don't match. Do you have to use all the wires? Any suggestions? Im quite positive I have the right connection. |||you can go to radio shack or wal mart either one and get and adapter harness that allows you just to plug this right in without having to cut or splice any wires at all, this is the safest way to install one and it also guarantees you that all the speakers are going to work right, its a plug and play deal when you use the wiring harness, this way no errors are made in wiring it other wise if you cross a few of those up you can damage the new radio plus possibly burn a wire out on the car also, good luck|||I absolutely agree. Your local Wal-mart will have a very inexpensive adapter. The only other thing that would be needed is electric tape. The adapter comes with easy to install detailed instructions. And you don't have to cut any of the stock wires, it snaps right into the stock plug.|||Go to "installdr.com" and click on Dodge, excellent site for automotive stereo wiring.
What is the normal oil pressure on a 2009 dodge ram?
I have a 2009 dodge ram with a hemi and when its fully warmed up, the digital oil pressure senser shows 16 psi at idle and still in drive. Thats the lowest ive seen it so far. It's only got 1900 miles on it so it should be normal but that just seems really low to me.|||some of them will read as little as 15-20 pounds at idle but as soon as the throttle is opened up just a slight bit it will rise a lot,not seen to many 09 ,s around yet but i have seen one that the person was concerned about the oil pressure on and the dealer told them that it was normal,if you think something is wrong take it back and have them check it,its under warranty, good luck.|||Seem low take it back and make sure U get the print out for the computer showing the oil pressure.|||When was your last oil change and before the Hemi engine the LA engine oil pressure could be as low as 7 psi at hot idle. Which shouldnt be to far off for the hemi
How long can you expect a Dodge Stratus to last?
We are looking for an extra car, just for winter. We heard about a 2001 Dodge Stratus with 120,000 miles that was a lease for a company and was kept up with all maintanence. We are concerned because we don't know if we should trust a Dodge with that kind of mileage. Any feedback?|||Dodges usually do not last as long as a Ford/Pontiac/Chevy last. After so many miles, a Dodge will start to "fall apart". Most Dodges on the road today either smoke terribly or rattle as they roll down the street. Dodges were a good brand of cars back in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. Recently, they are going downhill.
